If your question is one of these, the answer's right here.
-
01 What equipment do you recommend for a beginner?
Start with the $500 tier in the Build Guide — adjustable dumbbells, a flat bench, a mat, and bands. It's the minimum kit that'll still give you a real workout in six months' time. Skip anything calling itself a 'home gym in a bag.' -
02 Can you build me a custom workout routine?
We don't write personal programming — it's a whole separate profession. But our Workouts section has the form guides, alternatives, and 12-week plans we use ourselves. If you want one-to-one coaching, Steve does that (email the partnerships inbox above). -
03 Where should I actually buy the kit you recommend?
Every guide has a shop-links block at the top with the retailers we trust for that category. We don't run a store of our own — a single affiliate link beats an understocked warehouse every time. Prices get checked monthly. -
04 How often are the reviews updated?
Top-of-list picks get a quarterly re-check — we re-run the tests, confirm the spec hasn't changed, and re-price the shop links. Minor placements get updated once a year. Every guide shows its 'last updated' date in the byline. -
05 Do you work with brands?
Yes — email the partnerships inbox above. The rules are simple: we'll test any product for free, we won't take paid placement, and if something fails the bench tests it doesn't make the list. That's been the policy since 2019 and it's not changing. -
06 Can I contribute a guide or review?
If you're a qualified coach, PT, or weightlifting instructor — yes. Pitch a specific angle to the jobs inbox (ideas first, not a CV). Uncredentialed pitches get polite declines. Everything we publish carries a real byline with a real credential.
